Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She made her screen debut through Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. The actress speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian proficiently. Her mother played the violin and her father is a professor of theater at one of Romania's best theater schools. In 2000, the Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. It was the European Film Promotion Board named her as a European Shooting Star in 2008. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her professional career. In 2008 she played Yasim anwar in BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later had a prominent role in the 2014 film Fury where she portrayed a German woman who was named Irma the aunt of Emma.
