Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous hip-hop tracks that addressed sexual identity and race with a boldly comedic perspective before increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop in her teen years. In her schooling, she specialized in the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. After graduating, it wasn't until that she shifted her focus on music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet eventually landing on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also contained was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$1. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015. This was another initiative. After having a great career as a musician, she took on the role of actor. In addition to early series, such Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land major roles in a variety of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
